Really great food but a tab bit expensive.

We had 8 people in our group. We were greeted very warmly. They seated us promptly and got our orders. Food selection was good for both Mexican and American food. They were pretty fast and food was very good. The staff were young, but very professional and friendly. I was very impressed.

Amazing onion rings. Service is great. Shakes are delicious.

Love! Love! Love this place! The ice cream cones are good! The street tacos are so big I make four out of two of them. A great deal for the price. I have eaten breakfast and dinner here and I am NEVER disappointed! The service and one way entrance and exit and separated spaces serve us well in this time of COVID! The were always cleaning and didn't seem to ever stop! I drive there from West Jordan just to eat their scrumptious Mexican and American food. They deserve gold stars!

Stopped for ice cream cones. Fast, friendly service. The soft serve cones were huge, cold, creamy and not expensive. My kind of soft serve place.

Spending one night in Coalville and was hungry. Reviews were good for the Polar King Drive Inn so I went in and got a soft taco and a vanilla milkshake to go. Staff were friendly and paid cash not knowing they give a discount for cash! An even better deal. Taco was good but the milkshake was to die for! Great flavor and very thick. Ate it with a spoon. If I ever come back this way, will definitely stop by.

My daughter was in an accident just outside of town on a vacation trip west... no car and stuck in a hotel...I called and talked with some exceptional folks and they were willing to go above and beyond and deliver food to their hotel... now that's great customer service! The food was great and helped make my daughter feel much better. Thanks so very much!!!

Decent food, amazing steak breakfast and for a town with no ice cream shop( that I know of) has some pretty good milk shakes.

Surprised first time I went there. Had no idea it had wonderful Mexican food as well as great quality regular drive-in food. Great friendly staff. Polar King is owned by the Noel Rodriguez family and they all participate in creating a wonderful dining experience. I live in Alabama, but every time I AM in the area I make sure I go there, I love all their Mexican dishes.

I like this place. I have been eating here for 30 years. Good food. Quick service. Yummy shakes. If you are in Coalville eat here.

This is the food oasis I was hoping to find in Coalville.Open till 9pm. Great variety on the menu. Very good service. If I'm passing through again, I will stop by.

Some things were good - Chile verde sauce, street tacos and fried mushrooms. Some things weren’t so good - the burgers. Should’ve known not to buy burgers at a Mexican restaurant with a name that sounds like a burger drive-in. I’d give the Mexican food we tried 4 stars. I was pleasantly surprised. I’d give the burgers 2 stars. For that reason I give it 3 stars. Math...

Food was ok but they didn't put all the topping on my burger asked for jalapeno and it came whole on the side I don't have a knife in my car and they forgot my youngest son's chicken nuggets so my oldest had to give him some spent over 50 dollars for 4 people to eat and 2 small shakes i was disappointed

Huge surprise. We stayed at Best Western and because town is so small we feared we’d not find anywhere good to eat. The Polar King was so good we ate there both nights of our stay. Chicken fried steak was good but asada frites was even better! Lovely peanut butter milk shake. Huge menu of both American and Mexican food. Great service and very reasonable prices. It’s not a fancy place but fit the bill after a day’s skiing at Park City. Highly recommend.

I have been coming here since I was a child. The menu has changed a little over the years but the staff is always friendly and the food good. I would say the place has an old time atmosphere.

Burger was good fries were very good.

I used to love this place and visit every time I'm back home. Now a days every time I go in to dine in or take out they get my order wrong. Today is no exception. Plus the fact that I ordered and then 5 more people ordered after me and got their orders BEFORE I did. Unhappy as I was seeing this then seeing my order was wrong meaning I ordered no bun, get to eat it and it's just completely wrong altogether. Not sure what happened to this place but I'm not going anymore. So disappointed in my local fast food place that has been around for a long time!

Great little town fast food. The double bacon cheese & onion rings were excellent.

We were looking for dinner and found a nice hometown American/Mexican food restaurant. We both had a great steak with peppers and onions. Perfectly cooked with outstanding service. We will definitely stop by next time we are traveling thru the beautiful state of Utah.

The service was excellent. Great waitress.. Fries were soggy and burger was thin. Onion rings were ok.

I would expect better.my take out orders are consistently short. Want fry sauce? You need to stand there and make them get it. You pay for it, you should receive it in your order. Order a drink? Good luck with that. I could go on and on. I DO NOT recommend this establishment. Need a receipt to verify your purchase? You need to demand one.

Good food. The homemade tamales are excellent. The current social conditions has the service a little slow. Staff was very friendly.

Nice place, nice staff, good prices...They got an item in the order wrong so it took a while waiting to get the right item, but everything else came fast and the food tasted fabulous.

Really good food in a quaint little town just off the interstate that feels like a scene from the movie Cars. Stopped in around 10am for a late breakfast based only in Google reviews. Was not disappointed. The staff was so very nice and service was quick. The place is not fancy, but the food is excellent. Had a massive stack of pancakes, and a big dish of huevos rancheros. We could not finish it all. $17 before tip felt like a good deal especially for the quality.

Awesome! You will not leave hungry! Young man who waited on us was great. Grew up in a small town and this place reminded me of that home town feel I haven't experienced in a long time.

The food was good, the waitress was loud and horrible. We both ordered the same enchilada dish with red sauce. She brought one with beef and the other with pork, and both with green sauce, then argued with us about what she thought we ordered. We ate what was served, just to keep the peace. She never bothered to come back to the table to check on us, or refill our drinks. We typically eat here when we are in town, but this was not our best experience.

On this afternoon's motorcycle ride, we stopped by Polar King for a quick lunch. This Coalville landmark straddles the difference between fast food and an inexpensive restaurant with servers.It doesn't look like much from the outside or, for that matter, the inside. The menu is larger than just basic fries, burgers and shakes; there's also a good selection of Mexican food. Neither the restaurant nor its food are fancy, but judging from the crowds, people like it.My bean and cheese burrito was just that, a small tortilla filled with refried beans and cheese. That's it. I had to ask for the sauce on top. My wife's cheese burger and onion rings were simple, but she liked them.Would I go out of my way to eat here? Probably not, but the options are limited in Coalville. The staff, however, warrants an extra star. In the half dozen times I've dropped by over the years, I've always been impressed with their efficiency, friendliness and eagerness to please. Today was no exception.

The Best Shakes in the World. Stopped thru and got some shakes for the ride back to Evanston. I wasn't hungry but the menu was to die for. It's a mix of burger joint and Mexican. The Mex Menu look good. The place is old school like an old Fosters Freeze. You can eat outside too. The place smells of Carne Asada. The shake used some good preserves for the flavor. The ice cream is not soft serve and the shake was thick. I think it's the $5 shake from Pulp Fiction. Next time I'm going through there I'm going to get some of the stuff from the Mexican menu

I travel for a living and my truck broke down and did the shop owner told me this was a great place to eat. I had the rib eye breakfast which hands down was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Fast and cooked to perfection for a GREAT price. I feel really bad that I don't remember my server's name but I do know she was from Michigan and she was awsome. The restaurant was very clean and cozy. So happy I found this place in my journeys.
